INFORMATION

We sincerely thank you for your continued warm understanding and cooperation with the educational activities at ISI Language School Shinjuku.
Recently, we have received various opinions and requests from our students and related parties regarding the facilities and operational structure of our campus. Each and every voice reflects your expectations and trust in us, as well as your sincere feelings about daily school life. All faculty and staff deeply appreciate these sentiments.
At ISI, we value creating a place where students not only attend but genuinely want to learn and belong. That is precisely why we are using your feedback as an opportunity to review our own operational practices and steadily implement improvements.
Here, we would like to report on the initiatives currently underway or planned for the future at our Shinjuku Main Campus.
In response to feedback such as “The campus feels cramped” and “We want places to rest,” we have expanded and reorganized facilities including lounges, study rooms, and consultation spaces. We will continue to systematically develop these areas to provide more comfortable and diverse spaces for learning and daily life.
These spaces are distributed throughout the campus, reducing crowding while expanding options for learning and spending time.
We will continue developing spaces aimed at creating a “school where students want to stay.”
Moving forward, Shinjuku Main Campus will transition to an enrollment system that intentionally avoids setting maximum capacity, instead maintaining a more spacious approach.
This change is expected to yield the following benefits:
The following effects are expected.
We will continue to prioritize creating an environment where students feel they can study with peace of mind.
Starting in October, Shinjuku Campus will transition to an “8-shift system” for classes.
This change aims to alleviate congestion in campus elevators and create a safer environment for student movement.
Dividing morning and afternoon classes into four separate time slots will make commuting to and from school, as well as moving during breaks, smoother.
Furthermore, dispersing the flow of people within the campus will create a safer and more comfortable learning environment.
We will continue to explore better methods and make adjustments as necessary.
This summer’s intense heat persisted, and we received numerous comments regarding the impact of classroom temperatures on learning.
In particular, in response to feedback such as “certain classrooms are extremely hot” and “the air conditioning doesn’t seem to be working,” we have implemented the following specific measures:
Implementation of Classroom Temperature Monitoring
Thermometers have been installed in classrooms. We are recording and checking daily temperatures while making appropriate adjustments to the air conditioning.
Review and Extension of Air Conditioner Operating Hours
To ensure comfort immediately after arrival and after school, we have improved operations by starting the air conditioners earlier and keeping them running outside of class hours.
Enhanced Air Circulation through Installation of Fans and Cooling Units
Furthermore, we are installing fans and air coolers in all classrooms to improve airflow and ensure even distribution of cool air throughout the rooms. We are working to minimize uneven cooling and create a more comfortable learning environment.
Please continue to share any feedback regarding the air conditioning system with us via the “Feedback Box” or by informing school staff.
To make it easier for you to share your thoughts and observations about school life, we are installing an “Everyone’s Voice / Suggestion Box” on campus.
The school building management team will regularly review your opinions and requests and respond sincerely.
We will strive to share the status of responses and improvements as openly as possible through campus notices and other means.
It can be about anything—the learning environment, facilities, school life, or anything else. We sincerely ask for your input.
Small improvements add up to greater peace of mind.
We will continue moving forward toward our goal of becoming a Japanese language school renowned for its hospitality.
