【Shinjuku Campus・Kyoto Campus】 ISO29991:2020 Renewal Audit Successfully Completed

On December 9, 2025, the Shinjuku Campus (ISI Language School, Shinjuku) and the Kyoto Campus (ISI Language School, Kyoto) completed the renewal audit for ‘ISO29991:2020’, the international standard for language learning services. (Certification Body: JAMOTE Certification Services Co., Ltd.)

ISO29991:2020 is a set of requirements specifically designed for language education providers to improve the quality of language learning service and enhance customer satisfaction. Regular audits are conducted annually, with a renewal audit carried out every three years.

An on-site audit was conducted at the Shinjuku Campus over two days, on October 24 and 27, 2025. As a result, no nonconformities or observations were identified across any audit area. The school received feedback on its initiatives toward further quality improvement, and three key strength were recognized.

The audit was conducted as a multiple audit covering ISI Language School Shinjuku and ISI Language School Kyoto, and it confirmed that both campuses maintain a high level of educational service quality and a stable operational framework.

Improving the Accuracy of Placement Tests

By adding a listening test to the pre-arrival placement test, the rate of class changes has decreased, resulting in more accurate level placement. The accuracy of placement has improved from both learners’ understanding of their proficiency and instructors’ perspectives, ensuring that students can begin their studies in an appropriate learning environment.

Careful Assessment of Learners' Backgrounds

Through the admissions application and consultation process, detailed information is collected on each learner’s background, health status, as well as cognitive and physical abilities. This allows appropriate support tailored to each learner’s individual circumstances, ensuring high-quality language education services that meet learners’ needs.

A Professional Learning Support System

A consultation system with a school nurse has been established, creating a safe and supportive learning environment for students. This initiative also helps reduce instructors’ workload, contributing to higher-quality instruction. In addition, as part of efforts to accommodate a diverse, multinational student body, a list of medical institutions that can provide services in languages other than Japanese has been prepared, providing students with a strong sense of security.

Overall Evaluation by the Certifying Organization

It was confirmed that the institution is steadily advancing initiatives centered on learners' growth and safety while maintaining a stable foundation as a language education provider. The commitment of faculty and staff to work collaboratively toward a shared vision of learners and to continuously enhance the quality of educational services reflects a strong sense of unity and potential for future growth.

In addition, efforts to create a safe and supportive learning environment—such as improving learning spaces and developing support systems—were seen throughout the institution, and it was impressive to see how its educational philosophy is put into practice.

Going forward, we will continue to maintain and enhance the quality of our education, while making ongoing improvements to deliver high-quality services and provide educational value that meets our learners’ expectations.
