INFORMATION

The ISI Japanese Language School Summer Program is a huge success again in 2025!

Following 2024, the ISI Japanese Language School’s Summer Program concluded with great success again this year.
In 2025, in addition to the Tokyo Shibuya campus, it was also held at the Osaka campus, attracting many students from 22 countries and regions, exceeding last year’s participation.
Additionally, a new hybrid course was established that allows students to enjoy two cities by studying at the Shibuya campus for the first two weeks and at the Osaka campus for the latter two, offering a unique experience only possible at ISI.

Period: July 14 to August 8 (4 weeks)
Course: 2 weeks or 4 weeks
Schedule:
・Morning: Japanese language classes
・Thursday and Friday afternoons: Activities

・Saturday: All-day excursions to the suburbs

Participants take a level check test in advance and attend classes tailored to their proficiency.
A major feature of the ISI Summer Program is that you can deepen your learning not only through classes but also through direct experiences with Japanese culture.

Enjoy Japan to the fullest with a wide range of activities!

On weekday afternoons and weekends, we enjoyed Japan with all our senses through popular tourist spots and cultural experiences.

  • Shibuya Campus: Asakusa sightseeing, Mt. Fuji foothills tour, Tokyo DisneySea
  • Osaka Campus: Sightseeing in Kyoto and Nara, USJ

Furthermore, this year we also held exchange events with international students on the regular course and students from ISI Group vocational schools.

  • Shibuya Campus: Experience Japanese food culture and hot spring culture at Toyosu’s “Senkakubankai” together with students from Tokyo Business and Language College and Japanese high school students participating in the summer school.
  • Osaka Campus: Regular course international students participated in the welcome party on the first day, where they talked about life and studying abroad in Japan.

In addition, from August 18 to August 29, an intensive course aiming to pass the JLPT was held at the Takadanobaba campus.
In addition to thorough exam preparation classes in the morning and afternoon, we visited Tokyo DisneySea on Saturday to balance study and relaxation.

Participation of teachers and internships

This year, in addition to the regular instructors, teachers who are training to become Japanese language teachers and Japanese university students also participated as educational supporters.
With the flexible ideas unique to young people and communication that sympathizes with the students, the learning environment became even more lively.

Voices of the participants

In the questionnaire,
・I was able to make friends from around the world
・I was happy to interact with international students of the ISI Group and Japanese students
We received many such comments.

The unique appeal of ISI lies in building international friendships and networks beyond just learning the Japanese language.

ISI Japanese Language School’s Summer Program is a wonderful opportunity not only to learn Japanese but also to experience Japanese culture and lifestyle firsthand and connect with friends from around the world.
I sincerely hope the day will come when you return to Japan and study again at ISI.
