Could you tell me why you became a Japanese teacher?
When I was a university student, I participated in a program that introduced Japanese culture to Indonesia. The more I learned the Indonesian language, the better I got to know the local people, the more I learned about Indonesia, and the fun of learning the language. I wanted to convey the fun of learning a language through becoming a Japanese teacher.
Please tell us about the joy and pleasure of teaching Japanese?
Teaching Japanese is also learning. When I was teaching Kanji before, a student asked me, "Why do you use a Kanji means Cutting for talking about being kind?" I was surprised by a perspective I had never thought of before, and I realized that I still have many things I do not know. Teachers also study with students daily.
