Frequently Asked Questions About the Career Japanese Course

How is this different from other Japanese language schools?

Many other Japanese language schools outsource job-hunting support to external providers, but at ISI, job-hunting support is provided directly by our own teachers. Having a teacher who knows you well provide this support, and being able to ask questions at any time, offers added peace of mind.

How is this different from the Academic Preparation Japanese Course?

While the Academic Preparation Japanese Course is designed for students aiming to advance to university, graduate school, or vocational school, the Career Japanese Course is designed for students who want to learn business Japanese and the knowledge and skills needed for employment, in addition to general Japanese language study.

Can I get a job with JLPT N3?

Yes, it's possible, but ISI recommends building a higher level of Japanese proficiency before seeking employment. With lower Japanese proficiency, the range of job types available is limited, and building a career afterward becomes more difficult.
We prioritize acquiring a higher level of Japanese language skills with the goal of not just "securing a job offer" but also succeeding thereafter.

What is the job-hunting schedule like?

For new graduates, hiring selection typically begins in March, one year before graduation. Ideally, students should obtain JLPT N2 by the December before that or the following July's JLPT exam.
