INFORMASI
In April 2025, we welcomed two overseas groups from Thailand and China for a short-term Japanese language and cultural experience program. The participating students enjoyed a fulfilling time, focusing on Japanese language classes and participating in hands-on activities that deepened their understanding of Japanese culture.
This program, now in its third year, is aimed at Thai junior and senior high school students, with a focus on Japanese language study, while also helping them to improve their practical communication skills and deepen their understanding and interest in Japanese society through diverse cultural experiences. The students actively engaged in their studies and showed great growth by being exposed to various cultures. In the limited time of four weeks, the participants were able to improve their Japanese language skills, as well as acquire intercultural understanding and teamwork skills, making it a very meaningful program. A survey of participants revealed that 90% of students were satisfied with the program, indicating that they enjoyed their learning and the experiences they had.
Implementation period: Monday, March 31, 2025 to Friday, April 25, 2025 [4 weeks]
Participants: 22 students from Thailand (ages 13-18)
Comments from participating students (excerpts):
The program was attended by 39 high school students (aged 15-17) from China. With a view to students planning to study in Japan for a long period in the future, the program aims to give students experience in a real classroom environment and using the Japanese language through conversation-centered Japanese language classes. The students actively engaged in communication and experienced the joy of learning Japanese and the significance of learning it, and the overall satisfaction rate for the program was extremely high at 95.7%. Many students have given positive feedback, saying things like, “It makes me want to speak more,” and “Using the language has given me more confidence.”
