INFORMASI
Ms. HSU MYAT NOE WAI, who is enrolled at ISI Osaka Campus, has been selected as a scholar for the Kyoritsu Maintenance Scholarship.
The Kyoritsu Maintenance Scholarship is aimed primarily at self-funded international students from Asian countries studying in Japan, with the purpose of supporting their education and living expenses.
The scholarship is a “grants type” that does not require repayment and provides 60,000 yen monthly.
Ms. HSU MYAT NOE WAI is from Myanmar and aims to enter university while studying Japanese for one more year at ISI Japanese Language School.
I had the opportunity to hear Ms. HSU MYAT NOE WAI’s strong desire to continue her efforts towards the goal of entering university and fulfilling her dreams beyond that, so I would like to introduce it.
Q Congratulations on being selected as a scholarship recipient for the Kyoritsu Maintenance Scholarship. Please share with us your current feelings.
A I’m so happy that I can’t express it in words. Before receiving this scholarship, it was difficult to manage both my studies and part-time job.
I worked hard together with my teacher to become a scholarship student. It feels like my efforts have paid off.
Q How was the scholarship review?
A I prepared interviews and essays for school. It was great that the teacher supported me in preparing the essays and documents. In the essay, I wrote about my future dreams and things I want to do in the future.
Q Please tell me about your future plans.
A I hope to continue my education at a Japanese university. I plan to study for another year at ISI while aiming for the university I want to attend.
Since I want time to prepare for university entrance exams such as studying for the EJU, I want to reduce my part-time work.
Q What kind of studies do you wish to pursue if you enter university?
A I want to study because I want to become a software developer.
Q What was the reason that made you decide to study in Japan?
A In Myanmar, I studied economics. However, I couldn’t develop much interest in it, so I continued to search for something I was interested in and developed an interest in IT. When I looked for a place to study IT, I thought Japan was the best choice and decided on it.
Q What changed the most through studying abroad in Japan?
A I used to be an introverted person. After coming to ISI and participating in various activities in class, my communication skills improved. I also think I became better at managing household chores and money.
Q If there are any classes or teachers at ISI that left a lasting impression, please let us know.
A Since enrolling, Ms. Tsukasaki has been my homeroom teacher. Whenever there are difficulties in daily life or studies, the teacher helps as much as possible.
Q Please tell me about your dreams for the future.
A If possible, I would like to progress to Osaka University. And I want to do my best for Myanmar. I want to use the skills I learned in Japan to serve as a bridge between Japan and Myanmar.
Q Please give advice to juniors who are considering studying in Japan in the future.
A Studying abroad in Japan is a wonderful experience. It may be difficult and challenging at first, but if you persevere and keep challenging yourself without giving up, you can grow. Good luck!
The smile of Ms. MYAT was impressive as she happily explained that becoming a scholarship student allowed her to spend more time studying than ever before. We look forward to their continued success in the future.
As you prepare to enter university, the entire ISI staff will continue to provide full support. Let’s do our best together!
